A DOCUMENTARY FILM

Data and Democracy reports on the use of voter data and marketing methods by political parties and campaigns – historically and in the present day.

We bring together unique archival materials and interviews with political consultants, elected officials, historians, journalists, and political scientists to explore how effective these methods are, how they (do and don't) influence elections, and what implications these practices have for democratic ideals.
